What is Risk  Management?

Frequently Asked Questions

LSA Risk Management Policy

Risk Management Guidelines

Louisiana Soccer Association requires that all individuals that have direct contact with youth players complete a Risk Management disclosure annually.  This includes coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, trainers, and referees.

Adults (individuals older than 17) must complete the online disclosure.

Youth (individuals younger than 17) must submit the
LSA RISK MANAGEMENT YOUTH DISCLOSURE STATEMENT.

Important note: coach passes will not be distributed until the disclosure form has been submitted and a completed background check has been approved and recorded by the LSA office.

Club Responsibilities

The Club Registrar will  be responsible for matching up the disclosures with the appropriate volunteers/staff members in their own club (the club administrator will only have access to the name and address entered on the disclosure, but will not have access to any sensitive information entered on the disclosure form itself).  Refer to the KidSafeOneTM Risk Management section of the LeagueOne User Guide for detailed instructions on matching disclosures to the volunteers/staff in your club.

Once the volunteer/staff member has a current disclosure attached to his/her record, the state office can run the background check and then approve the volunteer/staff member.

Questions?

If you have questions or concerns about completing the online disclosure form or regarding the LSA policy, please send an email to  RiskMgmt@lsa-soccer.org.
