                       Louisiana Soccer e-ODP System is now Available!
Louisiana Soccer is proud to announce its e-ODP System which will help our members easily register for ODP, Tryouts, Trainings and events. The registration process is very easy, all you need to do is  to create an account and pay the $55 enrollment fee, then sign-up for the tryout date(s) that fits into your schedule (included in the enrollment fee).   (If you are paying by check mail payments to:  Louisiana Soccer Association, 475 Gardere Lane, Baton Rouge, LA  70820.)

You can also follow these simple steps!
1) Register and Create Account for ODP
2) Select the Tryout Session. If you are a returning ODP Team Player you should register for a CLOSED tryout. 
3) Show up at the Tryout!

Once you create your account you will receive an email with your login information. Throughout the ODP Process, you will use this same account to register for additional trainings and events.

For first time registrations:  
Please DO NOT create an account if the session you want is closed.   Deadlines are listed on the above ODP calendar.

LOUISIANA STATE SELECT TEAM PROGRAM (ODP)
           We are in the process of the 2007-2008 ODP season. A detailed description of our program for the coming year includes identification, selection, training, competition, and evaluation of our truly elite Louisiana youth players.

What are the benefits of the State Select Team Program (ODP)?

            The Olympic Development Program in a nutshell provides opportunities to develop:

• Identify and train players with superior skills.
• Development as a player.
• High-level quality competition.
• Competition against other State Teams.
• Exposure to Regional and National Team Coaches.
• Lasting achievement to represent one’s State, Region, and Country.
• Exposure to College Coaches.

Identification - 91-96 Boys and Girls birth year.

    The ODP tryout is for every player in the State of Louisiana. Players who participate during the

    2006-2007 ODP seasons will be invited to participate on the 2007-2008 ODP tryouts.

    Club coaches are welcome to send the players recommendation for talented players who would like to be challenged   at the ODP tryout.

    New scouted players will receive by mail a letter of invitation to participate in the Tryout.

Selection
A selection of players from each age group will be kept in the ODP pool, trained and invited to the Mini Camp in June.  Following the Mini Camp only 18 players will be selected to represent Louisiana at Region III. However the Pool will be active to select different players to participate in other soccer events until the next ODP tryout.

• The ODP minicamp for girls will be held on June 11-13/2008 in Alexandria.
• The ODP Minicamp for boys will be held on June 8-10/2008 in Alexandria.                

    What is Regional Camp?

US Youth Soccer is divided into four regions; each offers a region camp for Youth Association State Teams (ODP) in each eligible age group. The camps are designed to provide high level competition. Players who are capable of performing at a higher level of play are identified and selected for Regional Pool and Regional Team participation.

6. What is National Camp?

National Camps and Interregional events are held throughout the year at various locations in the United States. The National Team Coach or National Staff Coach is present at these events to observe, train, and identify players for placement in the National Pool or on the National Team.
