National Youth License Louisiana Soccer Association along with US Youth Soccer is excited to announce that the National Youth License will be offered this fall in conjunction with the Baton Rouge Soccer Association in Baton Rouge, LA. The National Youth License is designed to provide club directors of coaching, youth coaches, and soccer administrators with the knowledge to successfully structure soccer environments for children ages 4-12. The following will be explored:

What is required to earn a National Youth License?
Candidates are videotaped during this session. The sessions are then reviewed each evening by the staff coach and by fellow candidates.
What should I expect from the course in terms of classroom or field participation? Each day features classroom lecture/discussion sessions and field sessions. Candidates are strongly urged to physically prepare for the course. There are no physical tests, but participation is enjoyable and a valuable way to learn through experience. What is included in the course fee? The maximum enrollment is 36 candidates. How can I register for the National Youth License? Interested applicants can register by completing and submitting the course registration form along with a non-refundable $100.00 deposit. A copy of the candidate’s license (D License is the minimum) must accompany the application. The course balance must be paid in full no later than two weeks prior to the start of the course (October 22, 2010). Applicants failing to submit final payment by the deadline are subject to having their registration cancelled. Where will the check in/classroom and field sessions be held? Check in/classroom: TBD TBD What do I need to bring to the course check in? The Laws of the Game take-home exam, and their USSF Coaching School Coach Health Report. Is there anything I can do to prepare for the National Youth License? National Youth License candidates are responsible for reading the materials listed below prior to attending the course. Candidates should also print out and complete the Laws of the Game exam (provided following registration) and bring it to the course.
